Job description
Globalcom Technologies, founded in 2002 is a well-established company based in Southern Wisconsin. Globalcom is heavily involved in Structured Cabling, Premise Security to include IP-Video and Access Control, as well as complementary systems including but not limited to Paging, Sound Masking, Emergency Notification, Clocks, Audio Visual and Cellular distributed antenna systems. Globalcom Technologies is a division of Westphal & Co Inc which is a full-service Electrical services provider and has been a market leader since 1931.
This position is responsible for all aspects of project management and revenue generation working in conjunction with regional peers covering 4 offices over two states. Project Management responsibilities include managing operation/field staff to ensure quality and customer satisfaction. Contribute to core staff development and assist in recruitment activities. Account Management responsibilities include assisting with target verticals and business development activities for customer acquisition. Maintain outside vendor relationships and act as a liaison with internal departments.
Responsibilities
This is a very much an entrepreneurial position and complementary to other related company offered services. Reports directly to the Director of Operations.
- Preparation of timely and accurate engineered solutions for a variety of integrated security solutions; including access control, CCTV/IP video surveillance, intrusion detection, identity management, electronic locking hardware, biometrics and associated infrastructure.
- Manage engineering and estimation process to include interfacing with management, vendor and customer teams.
- Professional and personable presence, a team player who can function independently.
- Regular communications with vendors and clients to build and maintain relationships.
- Define project scope, address any deficiencies, and negotiate pricing as needed.
- A passion for technology, stay up to date with current technology trends in access control, video surveillance, intrusion systems and emerging security technology.
- Articulate in both verbal and written communications.
- Strong interpersonal skills when interacting with clients and staff.
- Knowledge of commercial construction practices.
- Assist with establishing budgets, annual sales forecast, and talent acquisition and development
Education, Experience and Skills Preferences
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience preferred.
- 5 years of Project Management in with a technology vendor, services provider, or systems integrator.
- 5 years of experience as a network systems integrator or technician, particularly in the following areas: Access Control, IP Video, network video storage, Threat Assessment, Intrusion, Integration with ancillary technology.
- Experience in the recruitment, training, management, and motivation of skilled Operations and Engineering staff.
- Development and maintain new and existing accounts.
- Strong quantitative skills, required for accurate project cost accounting and forecasting cost to complete, as well as financial reporting to executive management.
