The Department of Pathology at Michigan Medicine has an opening for a Research Investigator position to join our faculty in Ann Arbor, Ml. A successful candidate will focus on the specific area of research that explores metabolic and epigenetic pathways in aggressive pediatric brain tumors. By translating our bench side discoveries into clinical applications.
Responsibilities:
Advance understanding of metabolic dysregulation in cancer
Lead a research project related to the characterization of metabolic reprogramming and its influence of epigenetics in childhood and adult brain tumors
Prepare and submit grant applications
Participate in team science and studies under the direction of the Pl's
Prepare a disclosure and patent application
Experience in Publications
Leadership and supervision to more junior lab members
This position requires a PhD in Molecular & Cellular Pathology
Must be an experienced researcher, with at least 5 years
Must have experience with mass spectrometry, molecular biology in vivo imaging
Extensive research accomplishments
Have hands-on experience with leadership and supervision
